Terms and conditions of stay

  1. We reserve the right to refuse any cat that, in our opinion, is presenting with an infectious or contagious disease, and is unfit to stay in the cattery.

  2. All cats must be vaccinated annually for cat flu and feline enteritis. Boosters must be given 14 days prior to arrival. Proof of vaccination must be shown on arrival.

  3. Verbal confirmation of flea and worm treatment in the month prior to entry must be given. If on arrival, your cat is showing symptoms of either, treatment will be given at owner’s expense.

  4. Full disclosure of your cat’s behaviour, medical and dietary requirements each time they stay is required.

  5. Fees are charged daily and include drop off and pick up day.

  6. All fees are GST inclusive and must be paid in full prior to arrival via bank transfer or invoice payment. Other payment arrangements apply for long term stays.

  7. Peak season (Easter, Christmas, New Year and other public holidays) bookings may require a non refundable 50% deposit at time of booking.

  8. Bookings over Christmas/New Year (20th December-8th January) require a minimum stay of 5 days.

  9. All male cats over 8 months old must be de-sexed to stay.

  10. We reserve the right to seek veterinary treatment at the owner’s expense should this, in our opinion, be necessary.

  11. All possible care and attention is given to cats in our care however we do not accept liability for illness, disease, accident, loss or death.

  12. Authority must be given to release your cat to another person.

  13. During peak seasons we reserve the right to charge for the full period booked, should you wish to collect your cat early.

  14. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to your booked boarding date will be subject to a minimum cancellation fee of $48.

  15. We often share images and videos of cats on social media. If you do not consent to your cat featuring, please advise on drop off.

  16. We are not open for drop off or pick up on the 25th and 26th of December, 1st and 2nd of January, Easter or other observed public holidays.

  17. Drop off and pick up times are strictly 8-9am and 4-5pm. Out of hours arrangements will incur extra charges.

  18. All care is taken to return any items you bring (bedding/food containers) in good condition however no responsibility is accepted for lost, damaged or destroyed items.

  19. If you need to change your pick-up day, please contact us as soon as possible so we can make necessary arrangements. If your cat is not collected as planned and we are unable to reach you after repeated attempts over a 10 day period, ownership of the cat will be forfeited.

  20. Booking your cat at Hill Road Cattery is taken as full understanding of the above terms and conditions of stay.
