Does my cat need to be vaccinated annually?
Yes, to stay at Hill Road Cattery your cat will have to be up to date with their annual vaccinations.
Your vet will be able to discuss the best vaccination for your cat.
More information can be found in Terms and Conditions of stay but please note -
All cats will need to be vaccinated every 12 months
If your cat is due for their booster vaccination close to their boarding booking, please ensure they receive their vaccination 14 days prior to entering the cattery. This will be strictly enforced as they are shedding a live virus during this 14 day period.
If you are unsure, or want to discuss your cats vaccination status please get in touch.
Can I bring my cats own bedding and toys?
We have large selection of bedding for your cat to enjoy during their stay so there is no need to bring your own.
However, if you do want to bring your own bedding you are welcome to, but please note -
Must be easy to wash (a blanket that smells familiar is perfect)
Must be clearly labelled
Not overly large (and take up too much space in your cats unit)
Not expensive or special/sentimental
All care is taken to return bedding at the end of your cats stay, however no responsibility will be taken for damaged or lost bedding.
Toys are best left at home as they are hard to keep track due to their size.
Can I visit and view the cattery before my cat stays?
Yes of course, we want you to feel comfortable with where is staying while you are away.
Please get in touch to arrange a time to view the Cattery.
Please note - No visits over peak times (Christmas, Easter and public holidays) and we ask you to leave kids at home to keep visits as stress free as possible for other guests.
What happens if my cat becomes unwell during their stay?
Your cats behaviour is monitored daily, if anything changes or we are concerned, an appointment will be made with your regular vet. Using your regular vet is preferable as they will have all your cats medical history on record, especially if your cat has an ongoing medical condition.
If your regular vet is not able to offer an appointment in a timely manner we will seek advice from our vet or the after hours vet.
We will endeavour to contact you, or your listed emergency contact prior to booking a vet appointment where possible.
All vet appointments and travel to and from the vet will be at the owners cost.
